This accident occurred on Thursday, August 12, 2010. Units were dispatched at 1531 hours for a motor vehicle accident with possible injuries on Kelly’s Ford Road located in the Elkwood area of Culpeper. Units arrived on scene to find a commercial vehicle under a large tree. The tree fell across the roadway as a result of a severe thunderstorm in the area. The occupants were out of the vehicle upon the arrival of fire and rescue department. Two injuries were transported to Fauquier Hospital. Units on the call: Rescue Engine 2, Medic 12, and Medic 1114.
