Rescue Engine 1202 Involved in Rollover
Posted by: | CommentsAt 0937 hours on Friday, May 20, 2011, the Brandy Station Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident on Germanna Highway near the Luck Stone Rock Quarry. Rescue Engine 2 marked responding to the incident at 0942 hours with a crew of four. While responding lights and sirens to this event, Rescue Engine 2 was traveling at approximately 35 mph on Stevensburg Road when it attempted to pass an oncoming vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.
In the process of moving to the right, Rescue Engine 2 dropped off the roadway edge causing the vehicle’s weight to shift and the driver to lose control of the apparatus. Dump Truck Rollover 9-27
Posted by: | CommentsDispatched for a Dump Truck Rollover on Greens Corner Road. Chief-2 arrived on scene to find a dump truck on its passenger side with one patient that had self extricated. Vehicle was secured and fluid leaks were controlled by Pumper-2 and Rescue Engine-1. Patient refusal was obtained by ems personal on scene. Pumper-2 and Chief-2 remained on scene for traffic control and fire protection while recovery personal removed the vehicle. Pumper-2s crew washed down the roadway to make it safe for motorists, all units cleared and Greens Corner Road was reopened.

Head on Collision on Rt. 29
Posted by: | CommentsDispatched for a 2 vehicle MVA on Rte 29 north of Greens Corner Road. Pumper-2 arrived on scene to find two vehicles involved in a head on collision with three patients. Company 11 personnel obtained two patient refusals and transported third patient to CRH. Pumper-2 remained on scene to assist the Sheriffs Deputies and State Police with traffic control. Once the vehicles were removed Pumper-2′s crew washed down the roadway to make it safe for motorists, all units cleared and Rte 29 was reopened.

Fire Fighter Mackison takes a look
On Thursday, May 6th, there was an auto accident at the intersection of Brandy Road and James Madison Highway. A single lane of Brandy Road was closed briefly. One minor injury was transported to Culpeper Regional Hospital. Units on the scene were Rescue Engine 2, Ambulance 11-5, and Virginia State Police.
