Parade Info 2010
Dear Friends:
It will soon be fair time again. Our department is making plans for this huge event and would value your involvement. Our fair will run from July 28th to July 31st, 2010. The Parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday July 29th , 2010. This year’s parade will form on State Route 685 (Fleetwood Heights Road) this is north of the fair grounds. Parade entries will be given lineup locations as they enter Route 676 (Beverly Ford Road) near Elkwood. Parade line-up will begin one hour prior to the commencement of the parade.
All entries will be judged exclusively during the procession of the parade. To conserve fuel, all marching units will be judged as they pass without stopping at the judge’s stand. Please, due to safety concerns for kids, we ask that you not throw materials from units in the parade route. An extravagant display of trophies and awards will be on display at the carnival grounds and will be promptly presented at 9:45 p.m. on Thursday, July 30th, 2010.

We hope to see you here. Come early and support our auxiliary by enjoying some fine cooked food. Our auxiliary will be serving some of their famous fried chicken dinners. Miss Virginia has committed to participate in our parade again this year. In addition to many other fine entries, we once again will feature several of the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders as well as The Redskins Hogettes who will be available to sign pictures immediately following the parade at our grand prize booth.
