How Can I Help?

IMG_6209Have you thought that you might like to volunteer in the community?
Have you wondered how to make that happen? Let us give you a great idea! How about becoming a member of our Auxiliary? We meet the first Tuesday night of each month at the Brandy Fire Hall. The Brandy Fire Department and Auxiliary have proudly served Brandy Station and surrounding communities for over fifty years! Please join us and help work towards the next 50 years.

The Brandy Auxiliary supports the Brandy Fire Department by conducting fund raisers. The main fund raisers are the annual carnival and weekly Saturday night Bingos. The Auxiliary prepares and sells food and drinks at these functions. The Bingo kitchen is covered by four different shifts. These shifts are in need of help, male or female, between the ages of 14 and “I’m not telling but I’m here to help anyway”. Each shift works one weekend a month with once a year working twice a month when there are five Saturdays in the month; the shifts take turns covering the fifth Saturday.

If you are unable to commit to once a month, perhaps we could call on you whenever we need extra help for the dinners that we do throughout the year (approximately twice/month) or if a Bingo shift is short a person or two which happens sometimes, due to illness, family needs or other circumstances.

Please consider this as one way to serve your community. If the Brandy Fire Department is not close enough to your home, please check into your local fire department. These men and women volunteers provide such a valuable service and need your help. We would really appreciate any help you can provide.
